Happy Birthday to my wonderful son Kalen! He turned 5 on October 7th. The pictures I added are what were taken at his party today. He had such a blast.Now that both kids are sleeping soundly, I thought I'd take time to mention how Madison flipped onto her belly from her back all by herself 3 times yesterday! She can hardly wait to get up and get into things. She's trying to figure out how to grab things right now. She'll get her hand around something and try to get whatever it is into her mouth. Sometimes she succeeds, other times it drops and she gets really angry at me. Yes, at me. It's clearly my fault. :)
That's really all I have to say. I mainly just wanted to share pictures. Madison's Opthamology appointment is on the 19th. I'm starting to get nervous about it. I know that she is seeing, just not as clearly as she should. I guess I'm just scared of receiving bad news. What if they say her blurry vision isn't correctable? I have to stop letting myself worry about these things. We can handle whatever will come.

ReplyDeleteHave you been able to connect with any other 18q parents online? I know that eye issues can be pretty common sometimes. As a matter of fact, one of my girlfriends at our party today is an 18q mom & her little one is wearing glasses. Alex also had an astigmatism while little & outgrew it. I know the appts probably keep you very busy, but want to repeat that you're doing so well to knock them down one at a time! Hang in there! We're 2 years in today (Happy Birthday to my little guy) and it does get better!!
